Fruit pizza
Do you know the problem that sometimes a pizza dough is left over because you didn´t prepare it following a recipe with precise weight measurements but rather kind of freestyle? As throwing away is no option for us, we made a dessert of the remaining “normal” pizza dough and covered it with fruits. And what shall we say? It tasted delicious which can presumably most of all have to do with the fact that we have strawberry season right now. Strawberries heralds the start of summer. Therefore make use of the short season and nibble as many fruits as you can!
You can use a normal pizza dough (as we did) or you can try this one which makes the fruit pizza even more delicate:
Ingredients:
Dough:
250g flour
125ml tepid milk (or water or plant milk)
¼ cube of fresh yeast
40g sugar or other sweateners
50g soft butter (or oil)
¼ tsp. salt
Vanilla extract
Also:
200g Greek yogurt
Fruits as you like (but you HAVE TO use strawberries!)
Lemon balm
Preparation:
Knead all ingredients together until the dough is smooth (you may have to add some more flour if the dough is too sticky), cover and let rise for 30 to 60 minutes.
Remove the dough onto a baking tray covered with baking paper and shape the dough into a round pizza.
Cover and let rise again for 15 minutes.
Bake it at 180°C for 8-10 minutes.
Put it out and let cool down.
Coat it with Greek yogurt and many fruits.
Garnish it with lemon balm.
